Some of you may be thinking this is harsh; that she “gave it a good shot”. Surely, to have a very important position like running an entire state, you must have some sense of how the world works, or knowledge of certain things like BASIC WORLD GEOGRAPHY. Surely the people of Alaska wouldn’t elect a total bimbo to run their state, given their proximity to RUSSIA and the importance of guarding against Russian infiltrators(lol). Apparently so.
Fox News reports that Palin didn’t know Africa was a continent and did not know the member nations of the North American Free Trade Agreement — the United States, Mexico and Canada — when she was picked for vice president.
Surely Fox News, one of the most conservative Republican propaganda machines in the country, wouldn’t print that if it wasn’t from a credible source. I am no political genius, but I think it’s safe to say Palin lost the election for McCain (not that that is really upsetting to me). If you ask her, she thinks differently.
“I don’t think anybody should give (me) that much credit, that I would trump an economic, woeful time in this nation that occurred about two months ago, that my presence on the ticket would trump the economic crisis that America found itself in a couple of months ago and attribute John McCain’s loss to me,” Palin told reporters in Arizona Wednesday.
Not to mention, continued news about her wardrobe scandal probably did considerable damage to her credibility.Eight years of failed policy have earned the GOP a time out. The American people have spoken clearly to support this, and not just in regards to the President. The now Democratic majority in the House and Senate make a solid statement that we as a country are ready for change. Given the amount of excitement he’s generated, and the heightened sense of hope he’s inspired, I hope the man we’ve chosen to do so doesn’t let us down.Source: news.abc.com
